Terrunyo Carmenere

Variety: 85% Carmenere, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon. Origin: Block 27, Peumo Vineyard, Cachapoal Valley. Soil: River bench associated soils, deep alluvial clay loam. Climate: Warmish; strong Cachapoal River and Lake Rapel inuences. Harvest: Hand picked. May 7th – May 17th, 2012. Aging: 12 months in French oak barrels. Winemaker´s notes: Dark and deep red with violet nuances. Very elegant, complex, great character of pure Carmenere, plenty of blueberries, black cherries and violets. Great structure, mouth lling, mineral, sweet tannins, graphite, powerful as delicate, with lots of fruit giving a long nish.
